Frequently asked questions

When does the next Pokémon TCG set release?

The next confirmed English expansion is Mega Evolution Pitch Black on July 17, 2026, followed by the worldwide 30th Celebration set, which rolls out in waves from September 16 through November 6, 2026. The next main expansion after that is Delta Reign (Mega Rayquaza ex), set for November 6, 2026.

When do Pokémon Center pre-orders usually open?

Pokémon Center usually opens pre-orders midweek, on a Monday to Wednesday. Recent sets have opened about six weeks before the street date (the latest, Chaos Rising, opened 39 days out, while older 2025 sets opened up to 11 weeks ahead). Street dates themselves are typically Fridays. Dates marked Predicted on this calendar apply the recent six-week pattern to confirmed release dates.

How much does a Pokémon TCG set cost in Canada?

A current Elite Trainer Box has an MSRP around $67.99 CAD, the Pokémon Center exclusive edition around $80.99 CAD, a Booster Bundle around $36.99 CAD, and a Booster Display Box around $218.99 CAD. Secondary market prices often sit higher, which is why this calendar lists MSRP next to a market range.

What is the difference between MSRP and market price?

MSRP is the official launch price set by Pokémon. The market price is what a product actually trades at through resellers and local card shops, which runs higher for popular sets and settles toward MSRP once supply catches up. Pokémon Center only carries its own exclusive Elite Trainer Box edition, not the regular ETB or booster boxes, which is why a single Pokémon Center price would not fit most products.

What is the Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration set?

It is the anniversary expansion releasing worldwide on September 16, 2026. It includes a Pikachu card in every pack, a new Futuristic Rare rarity, and 30 stamped reprints of classic cards. The products roll out in four waves: Elite Trainer Boxes and the first collections on September 16, a Booster Bundle and Mini Tins on October 2, Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks on October 30, and the Ultra-Premium Collections, Ditto Premium Collection, and Figure Collections on November 6, 2026.

What do Confirmed, Predicted, and Speculative mean here?

Confirmed means an official Pokémon announcement. Predicted means the product is real but the date is our estimate from the release cadence. Speculative means the set comes from leaks or trademark filings and has not been officially announced.

How this calendar works, and where the dates come from

Every entry carries a status. Confirmed means an official Pokémon announcement. Predicted means the product is real but the date is our best estimate from the release cadence. Speculative means the set comes from leaks or trademark filings and has not been officially announced.

Each release shows two dates. The pre-order date is when Pokémon Center is expected to open pre-orders, usually midweek (Monday to Wednesday) about six weeks before the set arrives, based on recent sets. The street date is when the set is in stores, which is almost always a Friday.

Prices are listed two ways. The MSRP is the official launch price in CAD. The market range is what a product actually trades at on the secondary market and at local card shops, which can run well above MSRP for popular sets. Our market range comes from our own Canadian local-card-shop price tracking once a set is out; before launch we show a clearly-labelled estimate from a comparable recent set. Pokémon Center only sells its own exclusive Elite Trainer Box edition, so we list that as its own line rather than a separate Pokémon Center column.

Sourcing leans on official Pokémon channels, plus reputable TCG news and wikis such as PokéBeach, PokéGuardian, Serebii, and Bulbapedia. Each release links to the article where it was reported. Predicted and speculative dates are our estimates and are not official. Always confirm with the retailer before you buy.
