Frequently asked questions

When does the next Pokémon TCG set release?

The next English expansion is Mega Evolution Delta Reign (Mega Rayquaza ex) on November 6, 2026, with prereleases from October 24 to November 1. 30th Celebration launched on September 16 and is still rolling out in waves until December 4. After Delta Reign, the next English set is Flowing Fists, the English version of Japan's Aura Seeker, led by Mega Lucario Z ex. PokéBeach has reported it for February 5, 2027, with prereleases from January 23 to 31, but Pokémon has not announced it yet. The Mega Forces tins, delayed from August 28, still have no confirmed new date, and retailers now expect them in late 2026.

What Pokémon TCG sets are coming out next?

In order: the Deck Crafter's Collection on October 23, the 30th Celebration Battle Decks on October 30, Delta Reign together with the 30th Celebration premium collections on November 6, the Mega Greninja ex League Battle Deck on November 13, the Delta Reign Build & Battle Box around November 20, and the last 30th Celebration wave (ex Tins and Binder Collection) on December 4. The delayed Mega Forces tins are expected in late 2026. 2027 opens with a Valentine's Box reported for January 27, which Pokémon has not announced. The first English set of 2027 is Flowing Fists (set code FLO), led by Mega Lucario Z ex and reported for February 5, with prereleases from January 23 to 31; Pokémon has not confirmed it yet. In Japan, MEGA x MEGA Parade follows in February 2027, with an English version likely later in the year. The calendar above lists every date and marks each one confirmed, predicted or speculative.

When do Pokémon Center pre-orders usually open?

Pokémon Center usually opens pre-orders midweek, on a Monday to Wednesday, and street dates themselves are almost always Fridays. The lead time has become irregular: Pitch Black and Delta Reign both opened 37 days before their street dates and Chaos Rising 39, while the first two 30th Celebration waves opened 63 and 74 days ahead. Dates marked Predicted on this calendar are our estimates from that pattern, not announcements.

How much does a Pokémon TCG set cost in Canada?

A current Elite Trainer Box has an MSRP around $67.99 CAD, the Pokémon Center exclusive edition around $80.99 CAD, a Booster Bundle around $36.99 CAD, and a Booster Display Box around $218.99 CAD. Secondary market prices often sit higher, which is why this calendar lists MSRP next to a market range.

What is the difference between MSRP and market price?

MSRP is the official launch price set by Pokémon. The market price is what a product actually trades at through resellers and local card shops, which runs higher for popular sets and settles toward MSRP once supply catches up. Pokémon Center carries its own exclusive Elite Trainer Box edition and, for some sets, the booster box and Booster Bundle, but never the regular ETB, which is why a single Pokémon Center price would not fit most products.

What is the Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration set?

It is the anniversary expansion that released worldwide on September 16, 2026. It includes a Pikachu card in every pack, a new Futuristic Rare rarity, and 30 stamped reprints of classic cards. The products roll out in five waves: Elite Trainer Boxes and the first collections on September 16, a Booster Bundle and Mini Tins on October 2, Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks on October 30, the Ultra-Premium Collections, Ditto Premium Collection, and Figure Collections on November 6, and the Sylveon ex and Greninja ex Tins plus the Binder Collection on December 4, 2026. The Binder Collection was originally an October 2 product and has been delayed to December 4.

What do Confirmed, Predicted, and Speculative mean on this calendar?

Confirmed means an official Pokémon announcement. Predicted means the product is real but the date is our estimate from the release cadence. Speculative means the set comes from leaks or trademark filings and has not been officially announced.

How this calendar works, and where the dates come from

Every entry carries a status. Confirmed means an official Pokémon announcement. Predicted means the product is real but the date is our best estimate from the release cadence. Speculative means the set comes from leaks or trademark filings and has not been officially announced.

Each release shows two dates. The pre-order date is when Pokémon Center is expected to open pre-orders, usually midweek (Monday to Wednesday). The lead time is irregular and we no longer model it as a fixed six weeks: recent sets have opened anywhere from 37 to 74 days before the street date, so a pre-order date shown as Predicted is our estimate from that spread. Where the estimate is wide we show a range rather than a single day. The street date is when the set is in stores, which is almost always a Friday.

Prices are listed two ways. The MSRP is the official launch price in CAD. The market range is what a product actually trades at on the secondary market and at local card shops, which can run well above MSRP for popular sets. Our market range comes from our own Canadian local-card-shop price tracking once a set is out; before launch we show a clearly-labelled estimate from a comparable recent set. The one product only Pokémon Center sells is its exclusive Elite Trainer Box edition, so we list that as its own line rather than a separate Pokémon Center column.

Sourcing leans on official Pokémon channels, plus reputable TCG news and wikis such as PokéBeach, PokéGuardian, Serebii, and Bulbapedia. Each release links to the article where it was reported. Predicted and speculative dates are not official: predicted dates are our estimates, and speculative ones come from leaks or news reports. Always confirm with the retailer before you buy.
